I am trying to lose weight and so far it has been pretty decent! I am trying to keep myself motivated by keeping a log and browsing the weight loss communities on LJ. So far I've lost:






I've completely cut caffeine out of my diet and replaced it with huge amounts of H20.

You can register for free on the sparkpeople.com website and be able to keep track of what you eat as well. The thing that boggled my mind was that instead of eating 1200 or below to lose weight, you really need to eat 1200 or more to lose it. (It just has to be balanced in accordance to the chart so you do not go over anything! It's ok to go under once in a while.)

Once my dad told me my body was like a car and the food you eat is the fuel you get. It never really clicked for me until I was in the shower this morning, which is usually my "think" time when it hit me. If I eat too little foods, and those foods are my "fuel"... would a car go so far on less fuel? Nope! Instead I need either the exact amount of "fuel" or more. So there you go. :) My diet in a nutshell.

I also have to add in that the calorie intake can be more than 1200-1300 but NEVER less! If you are a bigger person or are a more active person, your calorie intake might be more.
